NCT’s TAEYONG heralded the expansion of his musical spectrum through his first full-length album “WYLD.”

TAEYONG’s first full-length album “WYLD” is known to consist of a total of 10 tracks, including the title track of the same name, the EDM-based house track “I’m a Dancing Cactus,” and the old-school hip-hop track “Hot.”

The track “I’m a Dancing Cactus,” included in this album, is an EDM-based song highlighted by a house beat that breaks away from conventions and witty lyrics comparing himself to a “dancing cactus.” The multi-dimensional groove created by synth sounds from the 1980s and 1990s and rough garage drums delivers a powerful sense of vitality.

Another B-side track, “Hot,” is an old-school hip-hop track that reinterprets respect and homage for classic hip-hop with a modern sensibility. With powerful bass and drums holding the center firmly, rap flows that evoke nostalgia for classic hip-hop and witty lyrics come together to maximize the fun of listening.

Both songs are genres that TAEYONG is attempting for the first time as a solo artist, allowing listeners to feel TAEYONG’s determination to showcase a broad musical spectrum.

The teaser image “photography pt.3,” released today (the 6th) at midnight on NCT’s official SNS channels, captures TAEYONG’s sharp instinct and rough aura that run through the theme of “WYLD.” In the photo, TAEYONG stares at the camera with bright bleached hair while wearing a mask made of metal material.

Meanwhile, TAEYONG’s first full-length album “WYLD” will be released through various online music sites at 6 p.m. on May 18.
