Billlie shared the modifier they hope to earn with their new song.
Billlie held a showcase at the SBS Prism Tower Public Hall on the 6th to celebrate the release of their new song ‘ZAP.’ On this day, SUHYEON said, “I think I would be happy if people called us Billlie you can trust and listen to.”
Regarding the response they hope to receive through this promotion, SUHYEON said, “Performance is important, but we also want to say that songs are one of our strengths,” adding, “I think I would be happy if people responded positively to the song itself, saying things like ‘Billlie you can trust and listen to’ or ‘This is the kind of song I was waiting for.’”
MOON SUA said, “There are still so many sides of Billlie that we want to show the public,” adding, “We enjoy challenging our limits, so we prepared while saying to one another, ‘We’ve done this, but can we do this too? Should we try it?’”
Regarding the pre-released double title track ‘WORK,’ SUHYEON explained, “‘WORK’ is a song that contains the ambition to realize that even my flaws and the sides of myself I wanted to hide are part of me, and to move forward.” She added, “As it is a new genre, it was a challenge for us.”
MOON SUA, who participated in writing lyrics, shared, “When rapping, rather than forcing myself to show who I am, I tried to show a cool attitude of ‘this is exactly who I am.’”
HARAM and SIYOON, who participated in writing lyrics for the B-side track ‘TBD,’ also shared behind-the-scenes stories. HARAM said, “Since this is an important album, I wanted to pay attention to even the smallest details,” adding, “Writing the lyrics myself helped me a lot in understanding the song and when recording, and it made me want to continue participating in the future.”
SIYOON added, “I wanted to express things in our own language,” adding, “That’s why I participated even harder, and I think a good result came out because the members put their sincerity into it.”
SHEON said, “I also worked hard on writing lyrics, but they weren’t selected this time,” adding, “There will be other opportunities, so I’ll continue participating passionately.”
Since debuting in November 2021, Billlie has built a unique presence as a “conceptual icon” that organically connects music, performance, and visuals based on solid storytelling. After winning the Emerging Artist Award at the 30th Hanteo Music Awards 2022, they were recognized for their steady growth by winning the Next Wave Award at the 33rd Hanteo Music Awards 2025.
For this new release, members SIYOON, MOON SUA, and HARAM participated in writing lyrics, adding sincerity to the album. With seven new songs, four remix tracks, and the Korean version of the title track from their 1st Japanese mini album, the album contains a total of 12 tracks, bringing together Billlie’s musical capabilities.
Billlie’s 1st full-length album ‘the collective soul and unconscious: chapter 2’ will be released today at 6 PM through various online music platforms.
