May is the season of festivals, and as expected, festival news is pouring in from universities all over the country. Every year around this time, excitement builds over which artists will appear in the lineups for each university festival. Recently, more and more artists have been taking the stage in customized styling that reflects each university’s symbolic colors or mascots, making fashion another key source of enjoyment at these festivals.
This year as well, various artists took the stage in outfits that brought out each school’s unique personality, further boosting the students’ pride and affection for their schools. In this K-Trend Report, we introduce the eye-catching artist stylings that stole the spotlight at university festivals.
🎈 ILLIT x Korea University
ILLIT, who appeared at the 2025 Korea University Seoktap Daedongje, grabbed attention by using Korea University’s symbolic colors of crimson and red. Drawing inspiration from sports uniforms like baseball, basketball, and ice hockey, they added ILLIT’s signature lace, shirring, and ribbon details to complete a sporty yet lovely “girlish sporty look.”
🎈 TOMORROW X TOGETHER x Korea University
TOMORROW X TOGETHER made a surprise appearance on the same Seoktap Daedongje stage, receiving huge cheers for their unexpected performance. They showcased styling that brought out each member’s unique personality, based on Korea University’s symbolic red color.
In particular, they created a casual vibe by pairing sporty looks centered on basketball uniforms with ripped denim pants, and added a sophisticated touch with red lining details inside the denim.
🎈KiiiKiii x Incheon National University
KiiiKiii appeared on the Incheon National University festival stage in a fresh and friendly college festival look. Wearing the classic “major jacket” (a varsity jacket often worn by freshmen), they created the vibe of campus friends.
KiiiKiii emphasized team unity and identity by having all members wear the same items, filling the stage with a neat and understated atmosphere befitting a rookie group rather than individual styling. Their energy and relatable fashion narrowed the distance with the student audience and drew enthusiastic responses on-site.
🎈 i-dle x Yonsei University
The Yonsei University festival stage heated up even more thanks to the “Summer Queens” i-dle. They actively incorporated blue-colored items, Yonsei University’s symbolic color, to highlight a cool and energetic vibe.
The combination of crop tops and denim especially emphasized i-dle’s signature bold and fierce image while perfectly blending with the festival’s free-spirited atmosphere. Thanks to the harmony of their powerful performance and styling, the stage was filled with excitement from the moment they appeared.
K-POP artists captivate students’ hearts not only with passionate performances on stage but also with detailed styling that reflects each university’s symbols. We’re already looking forward to seeing what styles will grab attention at this fall’s university festivals!
