[Showcase] LUNARSONAR’s ‘SOLAR : rise’ Release Online Media Showcase (Roundup) “We recommend LUNARSOLAR’s ‘DADADA’ for the ‘first song of the year’ for all the wishes!”

LUNARSOLAR, a talented girl group that debuted in September 2020, successfully held the online media showcase of the new album ‘SOLAR : flare’.

 

Before the release, LUNARSOLAR held the online media showcase on April 7th at 1 PM to introduce the 2nd Single Album ‘SOLAR : rise’.

 

The member TAERYEONG, ESEO, JIAN, and YUURI of LUNARSOLAR began the showcase by saying “We’re very nervous since this is the first showcase since our debut. We prepared very hard for this so please look forward to the showcase.”

 

Then the member ESEO introduced the team by saying “LUNARSOLAR is a combination of ‘LUNAR’ meaning the elegance and chicness of the moon and ‘SOLAR’ meaning the energy of the sun. The team name was already decided by the CEO when I first became the trainee.”

 

The member TAERYEONG said that “LUNARSONAR’s debut album ‘SOLAR : flare’ conveys our blooming. This album has our ambition that we will rise and soar.” The album has strong characteristics of LUNARSOLAR by including the B-side track ‘Lonely’ which the lyrics are written by the member ESEO.

 

The title track ‘DADADA’ of LUNARSOLAR’s 2nd Single Album ‘SOLAR : rise’ is produced by the producers BXN and KEEBOMB who previously worked with BoA, HyunA, Yoon Doo Joon, EXID, Apink, Jeong Eun Ji, VICTON, HUH GAK, THE BOYZ, and more. The album is full of LUNARSOLAR’s energetic charms and ambition.

 

The title track ‘DADADA’ is a charming and interesting track based on the deep-house genre which uses FAT bass sound and intricate chord progression with the analog synth sound. The lyrics deliver LUNARSOLAR’s ambitious and cheerful message "everything starts from loving yourself" and "just be yourself that is good enough."

 

The member YUURI shared a behind story from the music video shoot during the showcase. She said that “there was a scene where they throw cereals at us. ESEO and I enjoyed eating those cereals until someone told us that those cereals have already been thrown to the ground multiple times. We froze for 3 seconds after hearing that.”

 

LUNARSOLAR released the stage performance of the new title track ‘DADADA’. After sharing the fact that the member TAERYEONG and YUURI participated in making the choreography, LUNARSOLAR also introduced the point choreography such as ‘neck slap dance’ and ‘I love it dance’ on the chorus section. The member ESEO said that “there is a choreography where we draw a square with our hips. We still haven’t decided the name of it so I would like to hear the fans’ ideas.” Then the member JIAN answered “what about a square hip dance?”, making everyone at the showcase laugh.

 

The member TAERYEONG said that “YUURI and I made the choreography for the dance break. Although the dance break is amazing, I think the key point of the entire song is YUURI’s part at the end of the dance break.”

 

LUNARSOLAR prepared something very special for the comeback promotion. The member YUURI said that “we changed the opening performance of ‘OH YA YA YA’ and prepared something similar to that this time.” The member JIAN said that “the point of the song is confidence. Please focus on LUNARSOLAR’s confidence.” Then the member ESEO showed her ambition by saying “I will be performing freestyle during my rap part.” The member TAERYEONG said that “I prepared many ending poses so please look forward to that.”

 

The member JIAN said that “we would like to be called the performance masters regardless of the small number of the members. Also, I would like to thank the members for supporting me while I was shooting the web drama series ‘Leave Me Not’.”

 

Lastly, the members shared their confident ambition. The member JIAN said “'DADADA' has everything. It has all sides of LUNARSOLAR such as our confident side, perfect side, depressing side, casual side, and more. I would like to have more chances to meet our fans via fansign events and concerts.”

 

The member ESEO said “I recommend ‘DADADA’ for the ‘first song of the year’. The song is full of confidence and the message ‘everything is going to work out as you wish’ will bring you a positive beginning of the year.

 

Although it was their first showcase since the debut, LUNARSOLAR successfully wrapped up the online media showcase.
