[Hanteo News = Reporter KIM YEONWOO] SEVENTEEN's DINO has returned with his new song ‘AUTOMATIC’, capturing the excitement of falling in love.

 

DINO released ‘AUTOMATIC’ on November 3 at 6 PM KST. The song portrays the exhilarating feeling of love that becomes complete when two people are together. DINO participated in writing and composing the track, translating the thrill of love that begins as naturally as an instinct into a refreshing sound. Producer Jintae Ko, who previously contributed to a Grammy Award-winning project, also took part in its production.

 

The song's rhythmic bassline and crisp guitar melodies create an upbeat, refreshing atmosphere. DINO's versatile vocals are equally impressive, moving effortlessly between melodic rap and falsetto. His diverse vocal tones capture the excitement of falling in love, adding to the song's charm.

 

In the performance film, DINO showcases his signature youthful charm through classic styling, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans. His effortless, natural appearance complements the song's refreshing sound, evoking the innocence and excitement of youth. DINO previously unveiled ‘AUTOMATIC’ at ‘2026 DINO x PICHEOLIN [吉BOARD SHOW]’, held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul. The performance, combining rhythmic sounds with his smooth, versatile vocals, received an enthusiastic response from fans.

 

The new release also reflects the musical journey DINO has been building as a solo artist. Beginning with his 2021 mixtape ‘Wait’, he has consistently released individual tracks. In August, he introduced his first mini-album ‘吉BOARD’ under his alter ego, PICHEOLIN, exploring different genres and concepts.

 

More recently, DINO further established his presence as a solo artist through his first solo concert, ‘2026 DINOxPICHEOLIN [吉BOARD SHOW]’. Following performances in Seoul in August, he held additional shows in Macau in October, attracting approximately 31,000 viewers and attendees combined across online and offline audiences. Notably, every seat for the Macau concerts sold out, including the additional performances.

 

On stage, DINO seamlessly switched between his original persona and his alter ego, performing not only his solo tracks but also SEVENTEEN's group songs and Performance Team unit tracks on his own. He also showcased his wide-ranging performance abilities at music festivals including ‘MADLY MEDLEY 2026’ and ‘WATERBOMB KAOHSIUNG’.

 

DINO's dedication to his music extends beyond the stage. In a digital cover feature and interview with the Japanese edition of Esquire published in October, he emphasized the importance of balancing familiarity with originality.

 

"What's important is creating something that feels familiar yet new," he said. "I think carefully every time about how to express my own identity while still showing something new."

 

His remarks reflect a musical direction centered on continuous evolution without losing his individuality.
