TWICE JIHYO and American R&B singer Jenevieve have joined hands.

 

Jenevieve’s new song ‘Hvnly (feat. JIHYO of TWICE),’ featuring JIHYO, was released worldwide at 1 PM on May 8. Jenevieve, who is also loved in Korea for songs such as ‘Love Quotes’ and ‘Baby Powder,’ is a solo artist gaining attention in the U.S. R&B music scene. News of her collaboration with global K-pop idol JIHYO is drawing attention from listeners in Korea and abroad.

 

Included in Jenevieve’s deluxe album ‘CRYSALIS (CODA),’ ‘Hvnly (feat. JIHYO of TWICE)’ is a remix of Jenevieve’s song ‘Hvn High’ and is an alternative R&B pop track with a soulful mood. Jenevieve and JIHYO’s voices blend harmoniously, creating special musical synergy.

 

JIHYO, the leader and main vocalist of TWICE, has been loved for her solid vocal skills and powerful energy on stage. She has shown her limitless musical abilities across various fields, including her first solo album ‘ZONE,’ released in August 2023, and ‘Stardust love song,’ the theme song for the tvN drama ‘Twenty-Five Twenty-One.’

 

She also sang the opening track ‘TAKEDOWN (JEONGYEON, JIHYO, CHAEYOUNG)’ for the Netflix animated film ‘KPop Demon Hunters,’ which became a sensation last year, showcasing new charm and a broad musical spectrum. Attention is now focused on JIHYO’s next steps as she expands her range of activities through collaboration with a global musician.

 

Meanwhile, TWICE, the group JIHYO belongs to, has been meeting audiences around the world through their largest-ever 6th world tour ‘THIS IS FOR,’ which began in Incheon on July 19–20 last year and is currently taking place worldwide. In April, as part of the tour, TWICE entered Japan National Stadium in Tokyo, becoming the first K-pop group and the first overseas artist in local history to hold a solo concert there. Across the three shows, TWICE drew a massive audience of nearly 240,000 people.

 

During their North American tour from January to April this year, TWICE attracted a total of 550,000 audiences across 35 shows in 20 cities, earning the title of the K-pop girl group with the largest audience turnout in North American history. Continuing to write new records, TWICE will carry on the heat of the tour by visiting eight regions in Europe, starting with Lisbon on the 9th local time.
