EXO's KAI expressed his thoughts on his comeback, saying he is “as nervous as when I debuted.”
At the showcase held on the 21st at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of his fourth mini album Wait On Me, EXO’s KAI shared his feelings.
He said, “It’s my comeback in two years after being discharged, and I’m as nervous and even excited as I was during my debut.”
He added, “This album contains a total of 7 songs, including the title track Wait On Me,” and continued, “During the two-year hiatus, I’ve been building up good things, and I wanted to show that.”
He also said, “I know very well that many people have been waiting,” and “I’ve also waited a lot and put in a lot of effort to make a cool album.”
KAI’s new album title track Wait On Me is a pop song utilizing Afrobeats rhythms, combining restrained grooves created by percussion and a synth string sound that heightens tension. It conveys the beauty of emotions that gradually emerge without rushing, through waiting.
The album includes the pre-released track Adult Swim, the title track, as well as Walls Don't Talk, Pressure, Ridin', Off and Away, and Flight to Paris, totaling 7 tracks.
Wait On Me will be released on various music platforms at 6 p.m. today.
