TWS’s Jihoon shared a fun idea about who he’d like to film their new song’s challenge with.

 

TWS held a showcase on the 27th at YES24 Live Hall to celebrate the release of their new track “You, You.” During the event, Jihoon said, “Since preparing this album, I’ve wanted to film the challenge while riding a Ttareungi (Seoul public bike).”

 

He continued, “Following the ‘Angtal Challenge,’ we prepared a new ‘Ttareum Challenge.’ It uses the addictive chorus lyrics and choreography, and I think it can be used in many different ways. We really want to bring fun to the public again through this challenge.”

 

When asked which artist he’d like to film the challenge with, Jihoon replied jokingly, “Since the challenge is called ‘Ttareum,’ I’ve wanted to film it with a ‘Ttareungi’ from the moment we started preparing the album,” adding, “Of course, we’ll make sure to do it safely,” drawing laughter.

 

Youngjae shared, “During our OVERDRIVE promotions, we never expected the ‘Angtal Challenge’ to become so popular. I think it was recognized because all the members and staff worked so hard.”

 

Dohoon explained, “The key point of the new song is the word ‘ttareum’ in the hook. We tried to rhythmically express the feeling of wanting to follow someone you like.” Shinyu added, “The ‘ttareum’ dance will also be a highlight, and overall, you can look forward to a more refined side of TWS.”

 

TWS, who debuted in January 2024, quickly established themselves with their debut track “plot twist,” showing strong presence as rookies. They went on to win Artist of the Year (Bonsang) at the 32nd Hanteo Music Awards 2024 in their debut year, solidifying their status as a rising K-pop act. Their fourth mini album play hard (October last year) sparked the viral “Angtal Challenge,” proving both popularity and buzz.

 

Their fifth mini album NO TRAGEDY captures the straightforward romance of six boys who take control of their fate and complete their own love story. The title track “You, You” blends house sounds with R&B sensibilities, portraying a bold confession to a destined partner. Dohoon participated in writing the lyrics, adding sincerity.
