‘Comeback’ VERIVERY “Want to show the ‘best freshness’...Will deliver the appearances of happiness” [QnA]

Group VERIVERY is sending love in VERIVERY’s own way.

VERIVERY has releases their 3rd Single Album ‘Liminality - EP.LOVE’ through online music sites on November 14th. VERIVERY has received more attention form the global fans since they came back with different music and concept from their previous work.

In addition, as VERIVERY returned to a more complete appearance by finishing a series of domestic and overseas tours after releasing their 1st Studio Album in April, attention is being paid on what move VERIVERY will step forward through the new album.

VERIVERY has directly shared the story about their new album and their impressions.

Q. You have made a fast comeback after completing the continuous domestic and overseas tour after releasing the Studio Album last April. Please tell us your impressions about the comeback.

A. Before we went on a tour in the U.S. and South America last September, we already have finished the preparation of this album. We finished preparing for the album earlier, so we're not really feeling that this comeback has dawned. Rather, we feel that the waiting time was long. Maybe that’s why we just want to show VERRERs our performance to let them know that ‘we’re back’ as soon as possible. We especially prepared a lot to show you VERIVERY’s ‘Refreshing Charms.’ Please look forward to and show your interest in ‘Refreshing-VERI.’

Q. Please briefly introduce the 3rd Single Album ‘Liminality - EP.LOVE.’

A. Through the previous albums, we told stories about finding the end of darkness and confronting each other, and choosing to coexist in search of that end. Now, we’d like to tell you stories about finding happiness after choosing to coexist. So we can say that this Single Album is the new beginning for VERIVERY.

Q. Please let us know if there’s a different aspect of the new Single Album ‘Liminality - EP.LOVE’ from the previous Single Albums.

A. I think previous albums focused on VERIVERY’s mature and sexy appearance. Of course, there were some boyish sides too, but when you think about the performances and stages we’ve shown, I think people will be reminded of our sexy and masculine sides. This album is full of youth and freshness, unlike what we’ve shown recently. I think the biggest difference from the previous albums is the fact that people can feel our bright energy for a long while.

Q. Please let us know if there is a point to look out for that the members think of.

A. There are many things, but if I have to pick one, I think it’s ‘lovely.’ We’ve already shown this in a trailer video before, but when the members were asked the question ‘what is love?,’ the seven members all had different feelings and definitions about it. As this, each member has a different way of expressing their love. I think the point to look out for in this album is the various ways to express love filled with 7 people, 7 colors, and the different loveliness that is conveyed through it.

Q. What is the concept of this album’s title track ‘Tap Tap?’

A. It’s ‘Love.’ As it is a song with the theme of ‘Love,’ we thought a lot about what concept we should do to express love and how to express it. The members talked a lot about the concept, and we decided to express our love in VERIVERY’s own way. I think the concept of ‘Tap Tap’ is to deliver love to the fans honestly without exaggerating. I hope people can feel our bright and lovely energy.

Q. Hoyoung participated in writing the lyrics for the title track, ‘Tap Tap, ’ generating to be a hot topic. What are your favorite lyrics?

A. There are two parts that I liked the most. First of all, it’s ‘We’re love criminal,’ and Yongseung sang this part so well that I thought, ‘Did I write this for Yongseung?’ The other part is the ‘Smile brightly smile, say cheers’ part. When I wrote these lyrics, I wrote them while thinking of a playful direction with the members, but when we actually got together and posed on stage, I was very satisfied and felt good that the poses came out just the way I wanted, as if playful people were playing together.

Q. What is the point of viewing or point choreography of ‘Tap Tap?’

A. I think the viewing point would be the expression of each member’s different way of expressing their love. Overall, it is harmonized by talking about love, but each member has a different charm. I think it’ll be a fun point to watch if you look at the performance while looking at how each member expressed their love through ‘Tap Tap.’

Q. What is the appearance of VERIVREY that you want to show through this promotion activity?

A. I want to show you the appearance of our ‘freshness charm.’ I want to deliver good performance stages and happy sides so that people can feel that ‘VERIVERY is a group where everyone is bright and happy, sending lots of positive energy.” 

Q. Please tell us your goal and aspiration for this album’s promotion activities.

A. Through this activity, we would like to show people our broad spectrum once again. You can look forward to the performance of the new song. It’s different from the previous performances, so I think people will be able to discover a new side of VERIVERY after watching our performances. We want to show again that we are a group that grows without limits. And the biggest goal is that as much as we have received precious love from VERRERs, this time, we want to give even greater happiness to many VERRERs.

A. We sincerely appreciate your continued support of us VERIVERY. We’ll put in more effort and try our hardest to make VERRERs who watch and listen to our performances and songs.
