[Hanteo News = Reporter KANG SUYOUNG] TUIDE’s SEOHEE shared her ambition to create the team’s own color rather than naming a role model.

 

TUIDE held a showcase for the release of its 1st mini album ‘TUNE & PLAY’ at YES24 Live Hall on the 24th. On this day, SEOHEE said, “Because we have the goal of creating TUIDE’s own color well going forward, we have not set a specific role model.”

 

Asked to express the team name and album in one word, SEOHEE said, “I would like to describe it as vivid,” adding, “All seven of us have clear and distinct personalities, and rather than fitting those different personalities into one, TUIDE is about bringing them together harmoniously while keeping each person’s individuality alive.” SEOYEON said, “I want to choose the keyword joy,” adding, “From preparing for the stage to actually standing on stage, we had many joyful experiences, and I want to deliver those experiences to everyone watching.” SEAH said, “I would describe it as ease,” adding, “All five tracks are full of energy, but can also be enjoyed without pressure, so I hope people can enjoy a sense of ease with our music even in their busy daily lives.”

 

Regarding why they chose the soultronic genre, SEOHEE said, “It is a music style that harmoniously brings together the warm sentiment of soul music and the sophisticated elements of electronic sound, and I thought it was the genre that could best represent TUIDE because it can contain the seven members’ different personalities in one piece of music.” SAKI added, “The charm of soultronic is that it captures vocal tones well through our voices.”

 

Asked about what sets TUIDE apart, JIA said, “I would like to point to the fact that we show a musical style called soultronic,” explaining, “If you listen to the five songs on our debut album, you will feel that they are all bright and full of energy, while also somehow relaxed and languid. Music where vitality and ease coexist like this is TUIDE’s soultronic.”

 

Regarding the goal for their debut activities, JIA said, “We really want to receive a rookie award by receiving love and positive evaluations from many people.” SEAH shared, “Our goal is to become a team that people say makes music they want to add to their playlists, and whose next music they look forward to.”

 

As for their debut ambitions, SEOHEE said, “We will become a team that continues to grow while showing good sides and good stages.” SEOYEON shared, “Just like the meaning of our team name, ‘tune the tide,’ we will become a team that tunes the world and makes it joyful.”

 

TUIDE is a seven-member girl group consisting of SEOHEE, SEOYEON, ELENA, JIA, SAKI, SEAH, and YI HANI, and is the first artist from HYBE’s new girl group-specialized label abd. Like the team name, which means “Tune the tide,” the group is determined to add a pleasant rhythm to the public’s everyday lives with its own sensibility. Even before its debut, TUIDE made its presence known by pre-releasing the B-side track ‘GRLS’ and having its ‘Meet my GRLS, TUIDE’ video enter the Top 10 of Spotify’s “Global Music Video” chart for two consecutive weeks.

 

The 1st mini album ‘TUNE & PLAY’ is an album that condenses the power of “harmony” created by the seven members. It contains a total of five songs, including the title track ‘SUN KISS,’ as well as ‘ABD,’ ‘Echo,’ ‘Flip-Flop Girl,’ and ‘GRLS,’ with GroovyRoom producing all tracks.
