[Hanteo News = Reporter KANG SUYOUNG] ENHYPEN’s JAY expressed his pride in the group’s concept album.

 

ENHYPEN held a press conference for the release of its 8th mini album ‘THE SIN : BLISS’ at the Grand Ballroom of Mondrian Seoul Itaewon on the 20th. On this day, JAY said, “If you listen to the tracks in order, you will be able to feel an immersion as if you are personally listening to a mystery show from vampire society on the radio.”

 

JAY introduced the album by saying, “Following our previous work, this album is also a concept album in which the narrative, lyrics, and sound are organically connected.” He continued, “Actor Park Jung-min, Kenjiro Tsuda, and Huang Zihongfan participated again, and announcer KIM SUJI took charge of the script and narration for the breaking news track, so I think we were able to bring out a sense of realism,” adding, “I hope you listen from track one to the end in order while immersing yourselves in the story.”

 

Recommended B-side tracks were also introduced. SUNOO chose the fourth track ‘Bad For You,’ saying, “It is a pop ballad that captures conflict and affection between lovers. It was our first time trying it, and the melody is also very good, so it is a song I listened to and sang a lot from the time I heard the demo.” He added, “When recording it, I also tried hard to put in a lot of affectionate emotion.” NI-KI recommended the ninth track ‘Highlight,’ saying, “It is the final track that decorates the end of a dazzling escape, but it was actually a song that almost did not make it in.” He also said, “Not only I, but the other members also gave the opinion that it absolutely had to be included, so it became part of the album,” adding, “From the time I heard the demo, I could imagine the six of us singing it on stage, and I thought I wanted to sing it in front of ENGENE.”

 

The conversation also continued about the title track, which newly attempts the Brazilian funk genre. JAY said, “When we first heard it, many members already had affection for this genre, and all of us knew that the genre definitely had potential,” adding, “We also thought a lot about what only we could give through this genre.” He continued, “Fans tell us that only ENHYPEN puts so much effort into concepts and builds storylines like this,” adding, “We have confidence that we can unfold Brazilian funk in ENHYPEN’s own color and in a way only we can.”

 

Remix versions by each member were also teased. SUNOO said, “There will be remixes again this time, and each member prepared hard,” adding, “We would be grateful if you gave them lots of interest and love.” SUNGHOON said, “The remix of the title track from the last album in my version received a lot of love. It was for ENGENE, but it was also a song I made for myself,” adding, “I made it because I wanted to do a challenge, and I felt proud that so many people liked it.”

 

ENHYPEN, which debuted in 2020, has solidified its position as a “top global group” with a steep upward trajectory. At the 33rd Hanteo Music Awards 2025, the group won the Grand Prize in the performance category, proving its unrivaled stage power. With its 7th mini album ‘THE SIN : VANISH,’ released in January, ENHYPEN recorded initial chodong sales of 2,075,056 copies, achieving its fourth double million-seller in the team’s career, and also ranked No. 1 in both the Album and World categories on Hanteo Chart’s January monthly chart.

 

The 8th mini album ‘THE SIN : BLISS’ is the second work in the ‘THE SIN’ series, which is motivated by sin, and is a concept album that deals with the end of the journey faced by lovers who break a taboo and choose to flee. The title track ‘Bloody Paradise’ is based on the Brazilian funk genre and captures a sense of liberation that blooms in a desperate situation.

 

ENHYPEN’s 8th mini album ‘THE SIN : BLISS’ will be released at 1 PM on the 21st. Attention is focused on what records ENHYPEN, which achieved a double million-seller with its previous work, will write with this album.
