tripleS SEOLLIN Says, “Filming With Members in My Hometown Thailand…It Felt Like a Trip” [HT Scene]

tripleS revealed behind-the-scenes stories from the overseas filming of its new music video.

tripleS held a showcase at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall on the 1st to commemorate the release of its full-group album ASSEMBLE26 LOVE & POP Part 1 LOVE. On this day, SEOLLIN, who is from Thailand, shared her thoughts on filming the music video in her hometown.

SEOLLIN said, “This time, the moon team filmed in Thailand,” adding, “We had a fun time together, and it felt like a trip.” MAYU introduced the filming process across four cities, saying, “SEOLLIN and the moon members captured Thailand, I and the sun members captured Japan, the neptune members captured Taipei, and the zenith members captured Seoul.”

MAYU, who filmed in Japan, said, “We filmed at an old-fashioned cafe called a kissaten, and I was so happy because it reminded me of memories of going there with my family and friends when I was young,” adding, “It was really moving in itself to capture that with the members I work with now and have it appear in the music video.” NIEN, who filmed in Taipei, said, “The scene where we ran while holding bubble tea was really fun, and that is the most memorable.”

Regarding the reason this music video was filmed in four countries, MAYU explained, “We wanted to convey our hearts not only to Seoul, but also to girls across Asia who have the same worries.”

The members also continued to introduce the B-side tracks. JIWOO introduced the first track, Sad Girls Schemin', saying, “It is a song that carries the meaning of sad girls plotting together, and it expresses the emotions of girls going through puberty who seem like they are about to share secret stories, but eventually dance and play along to the exciting BGM and become a complete mess.” YOOYEON explained of the second track, Peer, “Along with the meaning of a peer, it also has a connection as the next track where flowers bloom when pronounced in Korean.”

Introducing the fifth track, Sleek, YUBIN said, “Our member SOHYUN composed and wrote the lyrics for it, and it is a song that contains a cry to reject the standards set by others or the framework of pain and confidently reveal my own individuality.” SOHYUN added, “As tripleS has 24 members, each member’s individuality is also truly diverse, and I wanted to show all of those individual stories without hiding anything,” adding, “It has a confident ending that says even the charms that could perhaps be called flaws are me.”

It was also revealed that this album is composed of a total of three parts. YEONJI explained, “This album is the beginning as the LOVE side, and after continuing with the & side in the second half of this year, we plan to present the POP side through a Japanese album in January next year.”

When asked why comfort was chosen as the theme, SOHYUN said, “Because our previous music, ‘Awaken,’ may have approached listeners in a somewhat deep way, I thought we needed a time to continue that story while also refreshing the atmosphere,” adding, “As it is June and summer, we tried to express comfort and empathy through a more lively style of song.”

tripleS, which debuted in February 2023, is a group of 24 members that has built a unique narrative by moving between units and the full group. After recording initial chodong sales of 41,710 copies with its 1st full-group album 'ASSEMBLE,' the group went on to record 152,335 copies with 'ASSEMBLE24' and 516,626 copies with 'ASSEMBLE25,' proving its rapid growth by breaking its initial chodong sales record every time it released a full-group album. At the Hanteo Music Awards, tripleS has also continued its history of winning awards every year since receiving the Rookie of the Year award in 2023, steadily imprinting its presence.

This full-group album, ASSEMBLE26 'LOVE & POP' Part 1 'LOVE,' carries a message of empathy, comfort, and solidarity for girls who live on without having yet discovered their own potential. It contains a total of seven tracks, including the title track 'Baby Flower,' and member PARK SOHYUN personally participated in working on the B-side track 'Sleek,' adding to the group’s musical capabilities.
