TXT’s new content series ‘Parenting Diary’ has been receiving explosive reactions immediately after its release. First introduced this past May, the series features the members taking care of baby Jaemin through a parenting experience format, and it quickly became the center of attention thanks to the appearance of an unexpected special guest.

That guest was none other than first-generation idol group god. As TXT and god appeared together on one screen, fans could not hide their surprise, reacting with comments such as, “Am I seeing this right? god and TXT in one frame.” In particular, when god member SON HO YOUNG appeared, responses like “The original king mom has arrived” poured in. SON HO YOUNG previously earned the nickname “king mom” through god’s early-2000s parenting observation variety show ‘Parenting Diary,’ where he formed a close bond with the child featured on the program. More than 20 years later, two generations of idols have now met again through the same format.

The core of TXT’s Parenting Diary is sincerity. In the recently released Episode 3, the members drew attention by appearing barefaced. Fans were initially surprised, commenting, “It’s still a broadcast, but they didn’t even wear makeup,” but many soon interpreted it as “They intentionally chose not to wear makeup in order to meet the baby,” expressing admiration for the members’ thoughtful consideration.

The members’ natural emotional expressions also captured viewers’ hearts. When Jaemin kept fussing, BEOMGYU held him for a long time until he calmed down, while SOOBIN—whom Jaemin usually follows well—kept the baby in his arms throughout the filming. Seeing this, god fans naturally connected the two series, saying, “In god’s Parenting Diary, SON HO YOUNG was the king mom, and in TXT’s version, there’s SOOBIN.” Among fans, reactions such as “Watching the members take care of a baby makes me want to get married” also emerged.

TXT’s Parenting Diary is not the first content to feature idols alongside young children. Until relatively recently, idol appearances on the channel ‘Studio Slam,’ featuring Lee Jinyi, also became a hot topic, combining comeback promotions with childcare content. Lee Jinyi first appeared on singer-songwriter Car, the garden’s YouTube channel, where she gained great popularity thanks to her adorable appearance and gentle personality. Since then, she has become a regular partner in idol promotional content. Content featuring children is especially beloved by fans because it naturally brings out the idols’ genuine sides.

In the content industry, there is a saying that “children and puppies are the secret weapons of content.” In an environment overflowing with provocative videos, content built on pure affection becomes a differentiating factor in itself. Viewers are saying in unison, “In times like these, warm content like this feels so refreshing.” This is precisely why TXT’s Parenting Diary is drawing attention not simply as an idol promotional video, but as content that connects generations.
