TOMORROW X TOGETHER expressed their determination to aim for Billboard No.1 with their first comeback after contract renewal.

On the 13th, TOMORROW X TOGETHER held a showcase at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium to celebrate the release of their eighth mini album ‘7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stopped Briefly in the Thornbush’ and shared stories about their new album.

Since their debut in 2019, TOMORROW X TOGETHER has built a unique universe and musical system, growing into a global idol group with their signature long song titles and interconnected narratives. Their fourth full album ‘The Name Chapter: TOGETHER,’ released in July last year, recorded initial chodong sales of 1.76 million copies and ranked No.1 on the Hanteo weekly album chart. This album honestly captures the emotions and thoughts they have felt over the past seven years. As their first group release after renewing their contracts, it is drawing significant attention from K-pop fans both domestically and internationally.

At the event, discussion about the contract renewal process became a hot topic. TAEHYUN said, “We still have a strong desire to stay together as a team, so it was very quick, we just said, ‘We’re renewing, right?’ ‘Of course,’ and immediately understood each other.” SOOBIN added, “We often heard that aligning opinions among members is harder than negotiating with the company, but for us, it was resolved quickly,” and “After living closely together for 10 years, we had become very familiar with each other, but through the renewal process, I realized once again how grateful and precious each member is.”

HUENINGKAI added, “We also shared the news quickly without waiting until the full seven years after our early renewal because we wanted to put MOA (fandom name) at ease.” 

The process of preparing this album was not entirely smooth. YEONJUN shared, “During the time we were preparing this album, I experienced a strong burnout,” adding, “As I deeply reflected on myself and the team, I came to understand myself better and was able to grow both as a person and as an artist.” He continued, “What I want going forward is simply to maintain this team for as long as possible and continue promoting together with the members.” 

HUENINGKAI added, “I believe TOMORROW X TOGETHER has strong potential and can go even higher, so I want to love this team more and stay together until the end.”
TAEHYUN said, “Of course numerical goals are important, but what we realized while reflecting together this time is that being healthy and happy is what matters most,” adding, “While it’s important that the process is happy rather than just the result, if I had to state a numerical goal, I want to reach No.1 on Billboard,” drawing laughter.

They also shared their thoughts after attending BTS’s concert last weekend. HUENINGKAI said, “It had been a while since I saw BTS perform together, but they were still incredible,” adding, “Even though it rained and the stage conditions weren’t ideal, I was amazed at how they used it to enhance the performance.” BEOMGYU said, “I grew my dreams watching the members’ performances when I was a trainee, so I watched the concert as a fan and thought, ‘As expected, they’re truly exceptional,’” adding, “I came back with a lot of motivation for the stages I’ll perform in the future.”

They also revealed their close relationship with BTS, creating a warm atmosphere. According to Hanteo Chart’s annual report ‘Hanteo Rewind,’ TOMORROW X TOGETHER recorded a 386.5% increase in digital score in 2025 compared to the previous year, demonstrating overwhelming presence. Attention is focused on whether they will continue this upward trend with this comeback.
