TWICE unit MISAMO has officially released their first full-length Japanese album ‘PLAY’ today (4th).

The TWICE unit group MISAMO, formed by MINA, SANA, and MOMO, unveiled their Japan Full-Length 1st Album ‘PLAY’ at midnight on February 4. MISAMO’s first full-length album, ‘PLAY,’ serves as the grand finale of a trilogy the July 2023 debut album ‘Masterpiece’ and the November 2024 2nd mini album ‘HAUTE COUTURE.’ With “art” and “theater” as its main themes, the album expresses a classical yet refined atmosphere throughout the entire release.

Led by the title track ‘Confetti,’ the album is packed with a total of 12 tracks, including ‘Hmm,’ ‘Not a Goodbye,’ ‘Deep Eden,’ ‘Red Diamond,’ ‘Catch My Eye,’ MOMO’s ‘Kitty,’ SANA’s ‘Ma Cherry,’ MINA’s ‘Turning Tables,’ the 2nd mini album title track ‘Identity,’ the debut song ‘Do not touch,’ and ‘Message.’

‘Confetti’ is an uptempo track based on big band and jazz sounds, delivering the message that “life is like an unscripted improvisational play.” Its encouraging lyrics that lift oneself up even at the end of a day that doesn’t go as planned, combined with an upbeat groove, provide listeners with feel-good energy. The music video, which was pre-released alongside the song on January 16, garnered enthusiastic responses from fans with its spectacular production reminiscent of a musical and the three members’ lovely charm.

Since their official unit debut in July 2023, MISAMO has continued to enjoy powerful popularity and recently added another notable achievement recognized by a local record association. According to an announcement posted on the official website of the Recording Industry Association of Japan on the 30th, MISAMO’s 2nd mini album track ‘NEW LOOK’ surpassed 100 million cumulative streams as of December 2025, earning a Streaming Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. The song is a cover that reinterprets AMURO NAMIE’s iconic track ‘NEW LOOK’ in MISAMO’s own style and has received wide acclaim from local listeners.

Meanwhile, TWICE is currently meeting global audiences through a successful North America tour spanning 35 shows across 20 regions as part of their sixth world tour < THIS IS FOR >. On April 25, 26, and 28, they will become the first overseas artist in history to perform at Japan’s National Stadium in Tokyo. With three shows hosting 80,000 attendees per night, drawing a total of approximately 240,000 spectators, the concerts are expected to leave a clear mark in concert history.
