JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) will hold its 20th public trainee audition (hereafter 20th Public Audition) across five major cities in Korea.
JYP is launching the 2026 20th Public Audition to discover the next generation of talent who will lead the future of K-pop. Known for producing global artists such as JANG WOOYOUNG of 2PM, NAYEON and JEONGYEON of TWICE, SEUNGMIN of STRAY KIDS, MAKO of NiziU, JUNG SU of XDINARY HEROES, and KYEAHOON of KICKFLIP, the JYP Public Audition is one of the company’s most prominent talent discovery programs. As this marks the final round of the public trainee audition after nearly 20 years of discovering new stars, the 2026 audition is expected to receive more attention and participation than ever before. JYP plans to continue discovering K-pop talent through various formats, including future global auditions.
The 20th Public Audition will begin on January 17, 2026, in Gwangju at Ssangchon Youth Cultural Center, followed by Daejeon on January 18 at DCC Daejeon Convention Center, Busan on January 24 at Suyeong Youth Cultural Center, and Daegu on January 25 at Ggomjirak Development Studio in the Daegu Youth Center. The nationwide tour will conclude in Seoul with auditions held over two days, January 31 to February 1, at Jung-gu Youth Center. Final selectees will be given the opportunity to become JYP trainees.
Applications for the audition opened on December 1 and can be submitted through the official JYP Audition website (audition.jype.com) until 11:59 PM the day before each local audition. Anyone born between 2008 and 2016 is eligible to apply, and applicants may choose one of five categories: vocal, rap, dance, modeling, or acting.
