The group ENHYPEN has once again proven their status as a ‘concert powerhouse,’ heating up two stadiums in Japan following their successful performances in three domes.
ENHYPEN (JUNGWON, HEESEUNG, JAY, JAKE, SUNGHOON, SUNOO, NI-KI) successfully concluded ‘ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR 'WALK THE LINE' IN JAPAN -SUMMER EDITION-’ (hereinafter ‘SUMMER EDITION’) on the 2nd and 3rd of this month at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, Japan.
With this, ENHYPEN has successfully completed a total of 10 performances in 4 Japanese cities, attracting around 400,000 attendees in total. From November last year to January this year, they carried out a dome tour in three cities (Saitama Belluna Dome, Fukuoka PayPay Dome, Kyocera Dome Osaka) in the shortest time ever for a K-pop boy group, highlighting their rapidly expanding popularity. The recently held Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo and Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka are both large venues that can accommodate over 50,000 people at once, and the fact that ENHYPEN performed two shows at each venue proves their tremendous local popularity and influence.
At the same time, through this ‘SUMMER EDITION,’ the group set a new milestone as the ‘foreign artist to enter a stadium in the shortest time (4 years and 7 months)’. Furthermore, the performance on the 2nd was streamed online across 56 countries and regions, allowing ENGENEs (fandom name) around the world to enjoy the show, while the performance on the 3rd was screened live at 112 movie theaters throughout Japan, giving fans who couldn't attend in person various ways to experience the concert.
During the roughly 3-hour show, the group performed a total of 26 songs, showcasing their full potential as ‘performance kings’ in front of fans who filled the massive venue. Their powerful performances of tracks including the title song of their 4th Japanese single, released on the 29th of last month, ‘Shine On Me’, along with ‘Brought The Heat Back’, ‘ParadoXXX Invasion’, ‘Future Perfect (Pass the MIC)’, ‘Fatal Trouble’, and ‘Bite Me’, were especially captivating. Notably, the ‘SUMMER EDITION’ featured giant water cannons, fireworks that lit up the sky, and a live band with rich sound, elevating the immersive experience of the summer outdoor concert.
Their communication with ENGENE also stood out. The members casually used Osaka dialect during the show to get closer to local fans and made their way around the venue in moving carts while playing with water guns, creating special memories with fans. The audience responded with explosive cheers and sang along in Korean fan chants, matching the group’s passionate energy.
At the end of the concert, ENHYPEN shared their thoughts: “The ‘SUMMER EDITION’ flew by in an instant. It felt like a truly special summer concert, and we think it will stay in our memories and we’ll miss it.” They added, “Although this stadium concert was made possible by all of you, we believe that it's our role to continue standing on big stages like this. We’ll keep working hard so we can carry on the precious opportunities you've given us.”
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN is now heading to the United States and Europe. Starting with Belmont Park, New York on the 6th and 7th (local time), they will continue the ‘WALK THE LINE’ world tour in 10 cities: Chicago (9th), Houston (12th–13th), Los Angeles (16th), London (22nd), Manchester (25th), Amsterdam (28th), Brussels (30th), Berlin (September 1st), and Paris (September 3rd).
