TWICE has unveiled the first teaser for their new song “THIS IS FOR,” showcasing a witty and clever production.
Ahead of the release of their 4th full-length album and its title track “THIS IS FOR” on the 11th, TWICE is sequentially unveiling various teasing content. The concept film and photos, along with a trendy sneak peek video that hints at a masterpiece, have been receiving enthusiastic responses from K-pop fans. At midnight on the 7th, JYP Entertainment released the title track’s music video teaser through TWICE’s official SNS channels, further heightening anticipation.
The video begins with the narration, “She should have realized when the director said ‘Let’s have fun! THIS IS FOR,’” showing Momo blankly staring into space. The scene then shifts to Sana and Jihyo dancing joyfully beside her, followed by Tzuyu watching the two members. As the screen transitions, Jeongyeon is seen holding her forehead, Dahyun is shown lying down and being moved somewhere, Nayeon and Mina appear to be searching for someone, and Chaeyoung is hiding. The teaser ends with these scenes, sparking curiosity about the full version with its quirky situations and the playful chemistry of all nine members.
The new album “THIS IS FOR” includes the title track of the same name, along with fresh unit songs such as ‘BATTITUDE (NAYEON, JEONGYEON, MOMO, MINA)’, ‘DAT AHH DAT OOH (SANA, JIHYO, DAHYUN, CHAEYOUNG, TZUYU)’, ‘LET LOVE GO (JEONGYEON, MOMO, SANA, TZUYU)’, ‘G.O.A.T. (MINA, DAHYUN, CHAEYOUNG)’, and ‘TALK (NAYEON, JIHYO)’. In addition, tracks like ‘FOUR’, ‘OPTIONS’, ‘MARS’, ‘RIGHT HAND GIRL’, ‘PEACH GELATO’, ‘HI HELLO’, ‘Seesaw’, and ‘Heartbreak Avenue’ bring the total to 14 songs.
As their first full-length album in about 3 years and 8 months since “Formula of Love: O+T=< 3” in November 2021, this new release sees collaboration with renowned domestic and international producers. Global hitmakers such as Tayla Parx, who worked on Ariana Grande’s hit songs, Amy Allen, who collaborated with Sabrina Carpenter, Julian Bunetta, John Ryan, Dem Jointz, and Baby Tate contributed to the album. Korean hitmakers Sim Eunji, earattack, Lee Woo-min “collapsedone,” VERSACHOI, Lee Seuran, and Jinli (Full8loom) also participated. Fans are highly anticipating the unique and expanded musical world TWICE will present through their 4th full-length album.
Following their long-awaited comeback, TWICE will kick off their 6th world tour <THIS IS FOR> starting with a sold-out concert at Inspire Arena in Incheon on the 19th and 20th of this month. The tour will continue in cities such as Osaka, Aichi, Fukuoka, Tokyo, Macau, Bulacan, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.
Meanwhile, TWICE’s 4th full-length album “THIS IS FOR” and the title track of the same name will be officially released on Friday, July 11 at 1 PM.
