Group Red Velvet's first unit, IRENE&SEULGI's 1st Mini Album 'Monster' recorded the Initial Chodong (first week of release) sales amount of more than 117,000 copies.
On July 13th, Hanteo Chart, the world's one-and-only real-time music chart, officially counted and announced that the Initial Chodong sales amount of IRENE&SEULGI's 'Monster' album recorded 117,423 copies. The Initial Chodong sales period of the 'Monster' album was from July 6th to July 12th.
According to the daily sales data provided by Hanteo Chart, 'Monster' was sold 87,928 copies on July 6th, the first day of the release, 6,718 copies on the 7th, 14,262 copies on the 8th, 1,348 copies on the 9th, 4,336 copies on the 10th, 2,753 copies on the 11th, and 78 copies on the 12th.

IRENE&SEULGI's 1st Mini Album 'Monster' was originally planned to be released in June, but it was postponed to July for a higher quality. Thus, more public attention was on the album as soon as its release. As if proving such interst with result, Irene&Seulgi recorded the albums ales of 87,928 copies on the very first day of the release.
The album reached 100,000 copies in sales on the 3rd day of the release, demonstrating monsterous increase in sales just like its name, 'Monster.' Irene&Seulgi also placed 1st 3 days in a row in Hanteo Chart's Daily Album Rankings, achieving meaningful results.
The Initial Chodong sales record of 117,423 copies is also the record that corresponds to the 4th place in Initial Chodong rankings among the albums released by K-pop female groups in 2020 - an exceptional feat for the first-time unit promotion.
