On the 15th, the K-pop fandom platform 'Whosfan' app announced that it will run global fan voting service with Mnet.
The leading K-pop channel of Korea, Mnet is applying Whosfan's voting service in order to increase the accessibility of the global fans. Especially, Whosfan's voiting system applies Blockchain technology and encodes all the votes from the participants, which makes it impossible to forge or fake the votes.
The first program to apply such high-technology voiting is Mnet's 'M COUNTDOWN.'
The global fan pre-voting for 'M COUNTDOWN,' the leading K-pop music show, will be run on Whosfan every week starting May, and the result of the voting counts toward the artist ranking of 'M COUNTDOWN,' which airs on every Thursday at 6 PM.
The global fans' accessibility is increased in both technology and service. Whosfan offers English and Spanish as of now, and it is expected to add more language packs such as Chinese. With this, Mnet will solidify its foundation as a trend leader that allows more fans from various cultures can easily communicate with the K-pop artist.
Moreover, Whosfan is offering a variety of K-pop contents including a number of polls and events on the app. Fans can enjoy such contents and create the K-pop culture that both artists and fans are happy alike.
